A nice addition to our instrumentarium: a 1930's Steinberg baby grand piano!
Besides being a beautiful instrument, this piano has an impressive history. It was made in the 30's in Berlin, by the Steinberg company, who at the time also built concert grand piano's for the Berliner Philharmonic. When national socialism took over Germany, the company was forced to relocate to London, where they resumed production for a number of years.
Our piano, however, travelled Europe and eventually found it's place in Rotterdam, where it stood for many years; until last week...
After a complex moving venture, skilfully executed by a very experienced piano moving company, it now resides happily in the morning sun at our Warmoesstraat office. It was tuned this week and sounds gorgeous!
